Moose Racing - On The Podium
7/07/10
With multiple off-road series taking breaks for the 4th of July holiday; Moose Racing fans were fortunate enough to see a familiar face racing in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. All-star GNCC rider and current XC1 points leader Josh Strang treated Moose fans to a special opportunity to catch him in action when he entered the Red Bud MX National.
Strang put together an impressive performance considering round six was his first taste of the outdoor national series this season. With the GNCC series on a break for the summer, Strang showcased his motocross skills at arguably the most legendary event on the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship schedule. Not only did he qualify, he also finished just outside of the top 20 overall with an impressive 23rd-place finish.
Moose riders Steven Clark (13th) and Ryan Mills (24th) also had nice weekends at Red Bud. Both looked strong and consistent throughout both motos and will no doubt continue to climb the leader board throughout the summer as the series heads towards the Spring Creek National on July 17th.
In the 250 Class at Red Bud, riders Phil Nicoletti (19th), Matt Lemoine (21st), and Michael Willard (22nd) all rode well. In Moto 1, Nicoletti charged into the top 15 with a very strong performance. All the riders showed they have the speed and will look build on their momentum in the coming weeks.
Finally, congratulations go out to Tom Sagar on his GBXC win this weekend in North Yorkshire. After suffering from tendonitis that kept him out of round two of the series, Sagar showed no signs of injury as he captured the overall win this weekend.
